Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to visit The Avenue Primary School. We are a happy, inclusive and welcoming school where children are supported to thrive, believe in themselves and enjoy coming to school every day. Our vibrant learning environment is underpinned by strong relationships, high expectations and a genuine commitment to every child’s success.

Our SHINE values shape everything we do—from how we learn and behave, to how we care for one another and contribute to our community. They help our children grow into confident, resilient and considerate learners who are proud of who they are and what they can achieve.

We have high expectations for all pupils, both academically and socially, and we believe every child can succeed with the right support, encouragement and challenge. Our caring and dedicated staff work closely with families to ensure children feel safe, valued and included, enabling them to flourish as learners and as individuals.

The Avenue Primary School is home to around 400 pupils from Reception to Year 6, alongside our well-established 52-place Nursery, which includes morning and afternoon provision and a two-year-old room in the mornings. We are proud of the strong sense of family and community that runs throughout our school.

This website is designed to give you a flavour of life at The Avenue, as well as providing useful and up-to-date information for parents, carers and pupils. We hope it offers a glimpse into the warmth, ambition and enthusiasm that define our school.

We would be delighted to welcome you and your child to The Avenue Primary School and to work in partnership with you as your child learns, grows and SHINES.

Mr Hunter
