Nursery Admissions

From September 2025, we will offer nursery provision for children when they turn 2 as well as the 3 and 4 year old provision.

All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for 15 hours a week. Some children may also qualify for 30 funded hours. The 15 hour offer can be taken by accessing five morning or five afternoon sessions. We try to allocate a morning or afternoon to match parental choice but this can’t be guaranteed.

Mrs Johnson deals with all enquiries for Nursery places. We ask that all parents fill in the Nursery application form below.

Choosing where to send your child to Nursery is a big decision and we would love to show you around our school. Contact the office on the email address in the top right of the page.

Depending on the current class size, your child may be offered a place when they turn three or it may be the following September. Places for Nursery are allocated on a priority system with children who are in the school catchment area having first refusal, followed by those who have siblings already in school and then those who apply from outside the catchment area.

The term before your child starts Nursery you will be invited to a new starter meeting where you will be given all the information you need to ensure a smooth transition. This will also provide an opportunity to visit the Nursery setting, ask any questions and discuss necessary information about your child with the class teacher.

Applications for Reception places are made between November and January in the school year your child turns four.

Nursery Registration Form

Please complete this form (before your child’s third birthday) to register your child for a place in our nursery.  Our nursery places are allocated in line with Middlesbrough council’s admissions procedures. You will receive an offer of a place letter usually 2-3 months prior to your child’s third birthday.

The offer of a nursery place does not guarantee a place in school – all school places are now dealt with by Middlesbrough Council admissions department.

Proof of the address at which the child lives will be required when a nursery place is offered.

Please remember to inform the school if you change either your telephone contact number(s) or home address prior to a nursery place being offered.  Any oversight could jeopardise your child being offered a place.  Thank you.
