We were last inspected by OFSTED in November 2012 and judged to be a 'Good' school.

  •         The inspectors found The Avenue to be a good school in which pupils make good progress, benefiting from 'consistently good' teaching and making 'rapid progress' in reading.
  •         Pupils displayed good behaviour in a safe environment, with an expectation of high standards clearly communicated by the head teacher and his staff.
  •         The school's management team was praised for improving teaching and offering an 'inspiring' curriculum, while there was a clear focus on continued improvement.
  •         The report heralds a significant step forward for The Avenue, building on its previous Ofsted rating of 'satisfactory'.
